Toto Kikoy Woven Wraps
These are wrap-around baby carriers. Machine woven in East Africa, Kikoy is a non-stretch, 100 % Mercerized cotton wrap. Patterned in lovely colours, nice and bright. The colours stay fast ,are more brilliant and there is minimum Shrinkage. Colourful, alluring, and comfortable kikoy is the perfect wrap For beginner babywearers. Cool and and snug even in a multiple layered carries.

Kikoy is very lightweight, easy to tie, with deep tapers to assist with tying. The fabric is so flexible and supportive our wraps grow from newborn and grow with your baby into the toddler stage.

Great for newborn front carries including front cross carry and front wrap cross carry, Kangaroo care, Hip carries, as well as various back carries including the rucksack carries of small babies and toddlers.

Breastfeeding in our wraps is easy, simply adjust the slipknot and position your child for nursing. Easy to care for, Toto Wraps are machine washable and dry. Our wraps soften very quickly and do not require extended wear to break in.

The weave is simple, but tightly woven giving it strength and durability for your growing toddler. Thin and airy, Toto Kikoy makes an excellent summer wrap in hot or humid climates. Kikoy wraps have no extra heat retention and thus feels great in multiple layered carries. These wovens are thin & breathable, keeping the wearer comfortable while carrying their loved totos for any length of time. About Kilimambogo

Kilima Mbogo is a small mountain and an adjacent small town near Thika central Kenya in mac halos county.  Revellers visit this area for hiking and photography.  The town is quite dusty, due to deforestation and loss of ground cover, compounded by occasional rainfall.  The area, however, is adorned with so much wild and untamed beauty.  Just like the dust that blows across this land, the wrap is in earth tones of dusty purple hue to represent the land and a few lovely colorful stripes on the edges to represent the goodness that comes from this particular dusty part of the country

About Turkana

The Turkana are a Nilotic people native to the Turkana District in northwest Kenya, a semi-arid climate region bordering Lake Turkana in the eastern part of Kenya.  The Turkana are known for raising camels, weaving baskets, and are a very hard working, having produced some of the most famous athletes in the olympic championship as well as international super models.  The Turkana refer to themselves as “Ngiturkan” and their land as “Eturkan.” It is such a delight to name this Kikoy Toto wrap as such.

About Melenik

Menelik, a strong warrior, king!   Just like the name, this wrap has strong masculine colours , with mellow stripes.  It’s a wrap that befits carrying our small babies who later will become leaders of our future.  The name “Menelik” is Amharic (a Semitic language spoken in Ethiopia) in origin, and also means: “Son of the wise man”

About Kakamega

Kakamega county is in western Kenya.  This place is known as Luhya land who split into other major sub tribes including Maragoli, Bunyore, Bukhusu, Wakisa, Tiriki, Waidaho, Waisuga, and Wawanga.  The home of the famous Crying rocks, Kakamega rainforest is the only tropical rain forest in Kenya.  It stretches across Central Africa to East Africa with various bird and plants species.  Named for the National Forest, the Kakamega colors are reminiscent of the Blue turaco, a bird seen only in the Kakamega in Kenya.  Try a short back cross carry as you walk with your little one imagining the sounds of the endangered DeBrazza monkey in the old growth forest.

Bamako is the capital and largest city of Mali,  and was once a very small city now with a high population making Mali the fastest African country in growth.   Located near the river Niger (crocodile river).  Whenever you visit the market, the authentic African waxed and Kitenge fabrics are bound to blow your mind away with their lovely prints.  Not a minute passes without noticing a mother carrying a baby on the torso in a Kitenge cloth .
